The gods are capricious. Belieive me, I know. I guess I'm lucky to be in on the joke...

I've moved my stamps to my shoutboard...Check 'em out....

Having been lucky enough to be picked in two of these gallery type ads, I must offer it to those that watch me. My thanks to :iconblufiredragon667: and :icongrim-away:
FIRST TEN PEOPLE to comment get featured, and I will go through your gallery and choose three of your deviations I like the most and post them in my journal for everyone to see! It's pretty much to show you off. Who doesn't want that? There is a snag to this, you MUST also do this in your journal!
1. :iconblufiredragon667: :thumb31310308: I love the pixelated quality of this, and well, I like Gackt too.
:thumb34502790: Pirates kick ass, and Lady Pirates kick more ass!
:thumb24513723: Finally, I picked this because it shows Blufire's amazing range of talent. Check her out!!!
2.:icongrim-away: Have I mentioned Pirates kick ass?
Grim fooled me with this one. At first glance, it's Cloud and Vincent. Nope... It's Ichigo and Renji! Awesome job on the character swap!
This is one of my absolute favorites of Grim's original character, Eijiro Dabel. There's so much emotion in the rendering. I really do love this one!
3.:iconxakana: There's something very touching about this rendering of Sesshoumaru. He's so broken, so vulnerable. Do you think someone could touch him at this point?
One of Xak's best drawings, I think. The lines are crisp and clean, and it just seems as if she drew this with a very confident hand.
Xak's forays into the Bleach world are very refreshing, and I think she did a wonderful job capturing Byakuya. He comes across cold and cruel...which he is.
4:iconprettyshinythings: This set is just gorgeous, and I believe it would make one feel Queenly every time it was worn. Understanding what goes into a beaded creation makes me really respect the work that PST has done here. It's a beautiful, intricate first piece. PST's jewelry always makes me feel that someone from the Renaissance should be wearing it. This Garnet set is just fabulous!
5.:icontoniworld: is another artist that I admire, and a friend that I've made on DA. He deserves a place here. :thumb53928646: I love this one because Toni drew it for me, and I love Loz! Naughty, naughty... :thumb45341574: Naughty...Oh, I said that already. Thanks Toni, for making the dirty old lady in KY happy. To ya'll looking for great emoticons, check out Toni. He loves making em.

6.:icondemonlordonigawa: DLO-Chan's original character, Viorel Selast. This is a great portrait. One of many.
Prince Salen Crescent. I just love the heavy shading in his face. There's a lot of character in this character.
This poem speaks so deeply to me, and like DLO, I am reminded that my characters are waiting for me to tell the rest of their story.
7. :iconcataclysmx: Let's start here. She is one of the most amazing pencil artists on DA, bar none. Her detail is like looking at a black and white photograph. I'm so glad I get to see her talent. Just enjoy.

8. :icontreeartbyjohn: This guy is a local artist here in Owensboro. I've known him for a few years and his tree art is just awesome! Here's my favorite three. You should go to his page and check out the rest of his gallery. You'll be amazed! This is so cool! It looks like you could put this on a frame and ride away.
John does some amazing fish. This one blows me away.
I just love this one too.

Chidori, my 40+year old sewing machine took a shit and died over the weekend. Right in the middle of putting trim on Tetsu's cloak. *of course.* That makes three machines in about 10 years. Chidori only lasted about 8 months. So I'm stuck with a dilemma. Do I ask my mom to buy a Husqvarna for me for xmas, or do I buy Spiderwoman's console one. The thing is, I was going to buy a machine after xmas. It's not in the budget to get what I want right now, which is a Husqvarna. My mom's is a top of the line model that cost her 4 figures. The one I was looking at was only 300$. Spiderwoman's machine is probably as old as Chidori. I don't know, I haven't looked at it or talked to her about it yet. On one hand, it'll probably be really cheap, but on the other, if it's old, I'm just going to run into the same problems I've had with the last 3 machines. That they were old to begin with and were doomed to die at some point. At least with a new machine, I'd have some sort of warranty, and could trust that it'd last more than a year.
I tackled the Behind the Couch Monster and set up everything so that I could start sewing doll clothes. I WANT to start sewing doll clothes and now I can't do it. It's frustrating and it pisses me off. So much so, that I'm tempted to go to Wal-Hell and pick up a $100 model of something just to get me by until I'm ready to buy the machine I really want. I think I should decide today. Tetsu's cloak isn't going to get finished if I don't. sigh.
I have phonecalls to make and Wal-Hell to visit...

Just an update here...
I called Spiderwoman. Her machine has no zig-zag, so that was out.
It's Tuesday now, and I called my Mom this morning. She's going to buy me a Husqvarna for xmas. Well, aside from issues I have with my mom, she can really come through when I need it.
But...
Since I can't wait until xmas to start sewing, I double checked the finances and allowed that I could spring for a machine as long as it was under 100$. I found a Brother that was on sale for 80$, bought two packs of bobbins, and am home, getting ready to spend the next few weeks sewing. When my mom comes through with the new machine, I'm donating the one I just bought to Spiderwoman. She may not do a lot of sewing, but she deserves a better machine. I certainly won't need two...

Another update.
Spiderwoman doesn't really want the machine, and Sonja doesn't sew that much. If the shipping isn't completely ridiculous, I'll be sending it to Grim...

The rapists, the ones that damage your talent...I hope there's a special hell just for them. I hope it exceeds the hell they've put me, and others like me, through.
For all of us that have survived, and will survive, here's the applause that you deserve!!! Living well is the best revenge;D

Hey, how are you? Life sucks for us, but what can you do? Loving the dolls and the accessories.

Onthethruway,
Wow, sorry to hear life is living you instead of the other way around. Well, you can see what I've been up to. Catering to some really spoiled dolls. Been playing pirates on myspace and facebook. Kicking ass on the first, not so much on the second.
Chiro is really helping. Funny how the "fake" dr. helps more than the "real" one.
Generally just trying to stay sane, help friends where I can, and make myself happy and feeling like I'm worth something. So far, so good, I guess. Only thing better would be to have Kaos have more than one day off every two weeks! Otherwise, it's all good.
You should say hi more often, or join my crew on facebook. I sent an invite...
Cheers!

Hey there, I noticed that you like cross stitching. I made a website for anime/video game/nerdy patterns. I was wondering if you want to join our community or donate some of your patterns to the site so people who can’t make their own patterns can enjoy something they love to. Let me know if your interested ^-^

You can PM me or email me at: deejaybeta16@gmail.com

The site is: [link]
And the forum is: [link]

Kairi-chan16,
I'd certainly share the cross stitch patterns I use if they were mine to share. Unfortunately, they aren't. They belong to Moongate designs. I don't even know if they're on the web. I got the patternbooks over 15 years ago at the SCA event, Pennsic War. *medieval reenactors* The only pattern that is mine is the Aerosmith logo. Again, unfortunately, I have no idea what happened to it. It was never saved on the computer. Kaos just printed it out, and away I went.
I have bookmarked your site. If at some point, I start doing beadwork tapestries again, I'll be certain to share what I can with you and your fellow x stitchers. Oh, and just so you know, I actually can't stand doing x stitch, but the patterns usually translate well into beads. My needlework tends to run more in the freehand embroidery catagory. I do appreciate the info, and the invitation. What I saw on the site is wonderful. It's also nice knowing that the old crafts aren't dying out.
Cheers!

Kairi-chan16,
You're welcome, and thank you again for offering the patterns. There's a web-site called Right at home which mostly carries Anime and Manga, but has other books as well. They have an anime cross stitch book that comes with a cd of 100 patterns on it. I also have a cross stitch conversion program which I got for free on the web, and could e-mail it to you if you're interested. I've put a couple of pictures through it and while it would be a ginormous work, it'd be really cool in the end. Give me a day to find the item # for the anime xstitch book/cd, and I'll send it off to you. If you want the conversion program, just say the word.
Cheers!
